Last Saturday on October 15th was a busy day for VHIO.
At the annual Chinatown Health Fair, VHIO volunteers helped with the Alzheimer’s screening by managing clinic flow, facilitating intake, administering a neurological exam, and interpreting during a consultation with a doctor. VHIO volunteers served over 40 patients. A few volunteers also helped with the hearing services booth.
At the Flu Clinic in Chinese Hospital, we were able to help with the administration of flu and pneumococcal vaccines. Most of the patients were senior citizens, and about 200 patients received vaccinations at the clinic.
A special thanks to our volunteers that weekend!
